Padding for Your Baseball Facility? Maximize Your Padding Investment with These Smart Tips
Chicago, IL, June 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- With a few tips from an experienced baseball padding manufacturer, you too can maximize your investment in padding your baseball facility. "Basically there are 5 places to install," say Midwest Cover's Owner, Larry Brown, whose clients include MLB's Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California. "You have top rail padding, baseball rail padding, outfield padding, dugout padding, and fence padding. All of these come in different thickness choices, usually 1 to 3 inches depending on type."

From a project management point of view, Brown says the typical time between order and install is 3 weeks.

"There are a couple things to consider for each type of baseball padding, but it's really about how you want the finished project. A consistent color scheme, and good custom graphics applied to the padding, where appropriate, can help create a great value upgrade to a baseball facility."

When choosing padding material, Brown says to make sure you start with UV-treated vinyl and durable thickness. "We use 18 ounce vinyl for the majority of our clients and I'd recommend it for almost all baseball facility padding installs."

Choosing thickness is pretty much standard, Brown says. "Top rail padding is 1 inch thick, dugout padding is 2 to 3 inches, and wall padding is also 2 to 3 inches."

Wall padding requires the most extensive installation. Brown mentions that a typical install for baseball outfield wall padding requires a plywood foundation professionally finished with z-channel or wood-lipped. "Obviously, outfield wall padding is your best place to really get the best effect with custom logos and graphics."

To the ever-present issue of cost, Brown points out that fence padding and top rail padding are the best places to look for discounted pricing right now.

"If you take a minute to consider how you want the finished product to look, and take a minute to plan, make sure to install it correctly, it can be a great value upgrade to your baseball facility."
