On April 15th, Kahuna Payment Solutions (“KPS”) announced the release of a revolutionary instant decision tool which will provide retail outlets across the United States a distinct advantage in offering instant credit decisions to their clients by completing a brief application on their computer. No longer will retailers lose sales because of the laborious process of collecting documents in order to secure financing to buy a sofa, get your car repaired, or buy a new dog. The process has gone virtually “paperless” with the exception of the contract.
This new process shortens the time frame from when a consumer enters a retail store, to when that consumer walks out with their goods or services. What used to take hours or even days to complete can now be completed in just a few minutes. One of the objectives in creating this process is to more closely reflect that of a traditional credit application process but without the traditional credit check.
Initial estimates indicate that stores will realize a material increase in sales while at the same time increasing a client’s level of overall satisfaction with that store. In fact, some stores have realized a double-digit increase in the number of overall applications submitted and approved over the same period one month prior to the release.
