Tucker Hill’s Pumpkinville in McKinney Perfect for Halloween Pumpkin Patch Fun This October
McKinney, TX, October 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Darling Homes is encouraging friends and neighbors to head to Tucker Hill in McKinney this month to experience festive fall fun during the second annual “Tucker Hill Pumpkinville Patch-to-Porch Destination” event hosted by Southern Land Company from Oct. 17-31.

Echoes of laughter will be heard from the pumpkin patch, as children pick out their perfect pumpkin, get their faces painted, decorate pumpkins, find their way in a toddler-sized hay maze and dance to live music. Adults and children alike will appreciate a display of vintage farm equipment provided by the Collin County Farmstead Museum.

“Pumpkinville is the best fall event to bring your children to,” said Christine Kenny, marketing manager for Darling Homes’ Dallas division. “There will be plenty of excitement and tons of activities for everyone to enjoy. It’s definitely an event for creating childhood memories.”

Kenny said Pumpkinville will also give home buyers a chance to get a sneak peek at lots for Darling Homes' next phase at Tucker Hill, expected to start pre-selling in November. There will be 21 new lots at Tucker Hill with Cottage, Manor and Avenue homes available. Homes range from approximately 2,100 square feet to more than 4,200 square feet. Prices start in the $350,000s.

"Plus we have the best dressed home in Tucker Hill contest going on," Kenny said. "That distinction is something that all of our homeowners vie for each year. It's definitely an exciting time at Tucker Hill."

All proceeds from Pumpkinville will go to a local McKinney school. In addition to the fun activities, those who want to tour a beautiful Tucker Hill home will have the opportunity to see the Darling Homes model and can register to win a $500 shopping spree.

The promotion is sponsored by Southern Land Company and runs Oct. 17 to Dec. 31 with one lucky winner receiving a $500 shopping spree to Allen Premium Outlets.

Children are sure to delight in the balloon artist, stilt walker, face painter, decorating their pumpkins, observing a professional carver, hay rides and finding their way through the toddler-sized hay maze.

Other exciting free weekend activities allow guests to kick off their shoes and dance to the live band The Maylee Thomas Band, Oct. 27, from noon to 2 p.m., capture fun moments with photo vignettes by Aimee Louise Professional Photography, enjoy tasty snacks from the Baker Elementary PTO bake sale and much more.

This festive fall event will be held Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m,; Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
