About Sharon Lee Radashaw
Ms. Radashaw is retired, having spent 41 years teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She taught vocal music, drama, theater, mathematics and algebra. Ms. Radashaw published Music/Drama Project, Fulbright Hays Summer Seminars Abroad 1997, “Meet On Common Ground” Globalization and Cultural Differences, Fourth International Fulbright Conference 2000 and “The Power of One” Knowledge, Power and Freedom in a Changing World, the Fifth Fulbright International Educational Exchange 2002. She is a Member and Past President of Thousand Oaks Arts Commission and is affiliated with U.T.L.A., M.E.N.C., N.T.A. and C.T.A. Ms. Radashaw was named a Fulbright Scholar in 1997 and was awarded the 1997 grant from Fulbright Hays Seminar Abroad to Romania and Bulgaria, the 2002 Fulbright to Turkey and the 2003 and 2007 Fulbright Memorial Fund for Teachers in Japan. She was a member of the world’s first “Cyber Chorus” which “rehearsed” on their computers resulting in a performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at Carnegie Hall in 1998. Ms. Radashaw was born on March 7 in Grosse Point, Michigan. She obtained a B.M.E. in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University and a M.A. in Music from Michigan State University. She spent 14 years as the Executive Producer, Musical Director and as an actress with the Conejo Players Theatre. In her spare time Ms. Radashaw enjoys travel, reading, costuming, public speaking, writing, world travel and singing.
