PDC Affordable Housing Welcomes John Kynes

District Director for Former U.S. Rep. Jim Davis of Florida Joins Affordable Housing Consulting Group

St. Petersburg, FL, October 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- PDC Affordable Housing announced today that John Kynes, district director for former U.S. Rep. Jim Davis, has joined the firm as director of business development and public affairs.

“John’s extensive government experience at the federal, state and local levels will be a valuable asset to the firm as we work with clients to develop affordable and workforce housing in local communities around the state,” said Nick Pavonetti, PDC’s managing director.

PDC Affordable Housing (www.pdcaffordablehousing.com), which was formed in 2006, works with private developers, nonprofit organizations and other civic partners interested in creating affordable and workforce housing. PDC assists clients by identifying the best affordable housing solutions for a particular project. It also helps locate the best engineering, construction, financing and marketing resources available to make sure the project is a success.

Kynes served as former Rep. Davis’ district director in Tampa from 2001-06. Prior to that, from 1995-2000, Kynes was director of intergovernmental relations for the City of Tampa. He previously worked for then-Florida Lt. Gov. Buddy MacKay in Tallahassee, and for then-U.S. Sen. Lawton Chiles in Washington, D.C. Kynes earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, and a master’s degree from American University.

Active in the community, Kynes sits on the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center foundation board as well as the board of the Salvation Army in Tampa. In addition, he is a member of the Florida Housing Coalition. Kynes will be based in Tampa in his new position with PDC.
