Free Cabin for Veterans and Active Military

Lansing, WV, October 13, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Veterans can take advantage of free cabins in the New River Gorge, WV, on Veteran’s Day.

Opossum Creek Retreat LLC. is offering free 2-day stays in all of their cabins. This offer is to veterans and active-duty service members in appreciation for their service.

“We just wanted to say thank you, and felt this was a lot better than a cup of coffee,” said the owner.

This is the 7th year the cabin rental business has offered free stays to veterans or active duty service members.

“West Virginia has a long history of being number 1 in military service,” Heeter said. “We wanted to say thank you to our fellow mountaineers, and this just felt like the way to go. We have family in the service, and know what sacrifices this means.”

Opossum Creek Retreat is family built, owned and operated. Tucked into the woods of the New River Gorge, it has 8 cabins to accommodate families of all shapes and sizes, from 2 to 20 guests, all with hot tubs, WIFI, cable, full kitchens and gas fireplaces.
