Jocelyn Gets a Wheelchair Accessible Van
Denver, CO, July 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Performance Mobility recently partnered with Chive Charities and BraunAbility to help a special young lady and her family secure a wheelchair accessible mini-van. Jocelyn was born with OEIS Complex, a rare genetic condition that results from a mutation in DNA. Jocelyn is a fighter who has braved nineteen surgeries thus far to correct different medical conditions that accompany OEIS. Jocelyn currently uses a walker and wheelchair to move around, yet in spite of her physical challenges, Jocelyn has set her sights on walking some day. Jocelyn’s parents, Rebecca and Omar, have seven beautiful children in their family. Not long ago, Rebecca detailed their need for a wheelchair accessible van on Facebook. A suggestion was made to contact Chive Charities and before long Jocelyn was approved for a grant! With the generous grant from Chive Charities and some additional assistance from BraunAbility and Performance Mobility, the Hernandez family was able to purchase a wheelchair accessible Dodge Grand Caravan that has made life so much easier! Jocelyn is an amazing, determined little girl who is an inspiration to us all!
