About Louise H. McGrew
Mrs. McGrew has over 46 years of experience in the field of education. After her retirement as a Program Specialist, she continues to work as a Practicum Supervisor for the Tulare County Office of Education in Visalia, California. She has been with this employer for the past 20 plus years. Mrs. McGrew mentors first year teachers and helps them with skillsets, techniques, lesson plans and basic teaching skills. Recently, she has taken a part time position with the Earlimart School District as their Interim Director of Special Education. She also serves as a Judge for various associations. She has published three works, “With Reading and Writing for All,” “Educations Fabulous Five (Classroom Accommodations, Strategies and Techniques)” and “One Hundred Years” (Poem).
Born in Tulare, California, Mrs. McGrew obtained a B.A. in Social Science from California State University in Fresno and a M.A. in Reading and Language Arts from Fresno Pacific University. She is credentialed in Special Education, Administration and Language Development. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, family activities, animals, poetry, and gourd art.
