The American Pizza Team Wins Top Honors at the World Pizza Championships in Parma, Italy Held April 9-11

North Saint Paul, MN, April 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- World Champion Pizza Maker Randy Hueffmeier of Randy's Pizza and Randy’s Gluten Free was out done by daughter and pizza aficionado Sarah Hueffmeier.

Sarah, the youngest American (quite possible the youngest person in the world) to ever compete at the World Pizza Championships, did incredible.

Not only did she reach the champion's podium and place third in the World, she bested some of the top Pizza makers in the world with combined 100’s of years of experience as well as a few World Champion Pizza Makers, all at the age of 16 years old. To top that off she was also the top American overall at the event with 1000’s of pizza makers from all over the world.

Held each year, the World Pizza Championships determines the world's best pizza makers with more than 23 countries competing and 6,500 independent chain and franchise owners in attendance. In addition to the contestants, more than 30 judges converge every year to the food valley of Italy to compete for the title of best in the world in 11 categories of competition.

"Some of the best Pizziolis from around the world are there especially from Italy, France, and Germany," Hueffmeier said.

Hueffmeier is America's first International Pizza Champion in both Pizza Baking and Pizza Tossing. He has won numerous awards and is a 7 time World Pizza Champion.

Also, Hueffmeier has been the top performing American in 2013, 2014, 2016. He missed his chance of a three peat when he didn’t make the trek to compete in 2015.
