Rose Medical Center Reaccredited with Advanced Certification for Spine Surgery and Total Hip, Total Knee Replacement from The Joint Commission
Denver, CO, September 28, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Rose Medical Center is proud to announce that its Orthopedic & Spine Center has earned reaccreditation from The Joint Commission and has earned three Gold Seals of Approval®: Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery and Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement. The Gold Seal of Approval® is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.

Rose Medical Center underwent a rigorous on-site review in July 2018 to determine reaccreditation. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards as well as with joint and spine-specific requirements. Clinical practice guidelines and performance measures also were assessed.

“We are honored to again receive this unique accreditation in spine surgery and in hip and knee replacement. The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval reflects the incredibly hard work our team has undergone to provide a high-quality experience for our orthopedic and spine patients,” said Ryan Tobin, CEO, Rose Medical Center. “Spine surgery or joint replacement are life-changing surgeries for patients. To us, the most important breakthrough is helping each of our patients realize they no longer have to live with the pain.”

Established in 2002 and awarded for a two-year period, The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification evaluates clinical programs across the continuum of care and addresses three core areas:

- Compliance with consensus-based national standards;
- Effective use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines to manage and optimize care; and
- An organized approach to performance measurement and improvement activities.

“Rose has thoroughly demonstrated a high level of care for patients undergoing joint replacement and spine surgery,” said Patrick Phelan, executive director, Hospital Business Development, The Joint Commission. “We commend Rose for becoming a leader in joint and spine care, potentially providing a higher standard of service for orthopedic patients in its community.”
