Career Ready Training for New College Graduates
New Haven, CT, January 31, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Spina and Trelease are available for expert comment on articles related to career communications and the growing student debt crisis.

Millennial Den Career-Ready Training for College grads launches on Groundhog Day.

Don’t relive the same results, day after day. Millennial Den’s unique approach to job-readiness gets proven results.

Millennial Den’s founders believe that even the most well-intentioned career centers are challenged to meet the fast-changing demands placed on today’s new college graduates. So owners Randye Spina and Frances Trelease, both college professors and local business owners, created a Job Search Action Plan to help 20-something college graduates land on their feet.

“What a better way to usher in a new approach than to launch on Groundhog day,” said marketing pro Spina, playing off the Bill Murray movie about a weatherman who relives the same day – and the same results -- over and over again.

A start-up company, Millennial Den offers a proprietary online training program that can’t be found elsewhere. It provides laser-focused career training, to successfully transition new and recent college grads from student to career-ready employee.

Says Trelease, “With our combined 30+ years in higher education, Randye and I see the unique challenges our graduated students now face in the job market. The odds are not in their favor. Statistics show that just one in four grads have a full-time career position waiting for them when they graduate. That’s just not acceptable.”

Millennial Den's breakthrough Introduction to Career-Ready Training program seeks to help the majority of graduates, those who take an average 7-12 months to land that first stable job -- just about the same time their student loans start coming due.

Through a series of online instructional modules, Millennial Den provides customized, multi-module training accessible through Teachable, a premier EdTech company. The initial product, set to launch in 12 days on February 2, is the first of the series, and gives a 26-minute overview of do’s and don’ts for successful job searching and interviewing. Program participants also receive a Welcome Package with letter and resume templates, checklists, a free eBook, and more.

Because so many of their former students return to them – sometimes years later – seeking help to navigate the job market, Spina and Trelease recognized this growing need for graduates, regardless of degree or field of study.

“Our mission is simple – to bridge the gap between college training and real-world career readiness for new graduates," says Trelease, herself the mother of two college students. “We’ve combined our business and higher education expertise to develop a job search action plan they can put to use immediately.”

Millennial Den is a play on Boomer Den, LLC, founded by Trelease in 2013 to help mid-life adults find new careers via internships and direct placement. Expanding on the den theme, Spina and Trelease call themselves “The Den Mothers.”

Says Spina, with a chuckle, “This program helps new and recent college grads put their college degree to work for them -- and helps get them able to move out of their parents' basements! We provide a job search action plan with all the insight and tools they need to succeed.”
