New Reports from Principled Technologies Highlight the Benefits of Upgrading to the Latest-Generation HP Elite Dragonfly G3 and Elitebook 840 G9 Laptops
The laptops showed performance advantages when PT compared them to similarly configured previous-generation devices.
Durham, NC, December 14, 2022 --(PR.com)-- To shed light on the potential benefits of upgrading older laptops, Principled Technologies (PT) conducted a series of tests comparing new HP Elite Dragonfly and EliteBook laptops to previous-generation devices. In one study, PT compared the performance of the latest-generation HP Dragonfly G3 featuring a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1265U processor to that of a previous-generation HP Dragonfly G2 featuring an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor. In another study, PT compared the performance of the latest-generation HP EliteBook 840 G9 featuring an Intel Core i5-1245U processor to that of a previous-generation HP EliteBook 840 G8 featuring an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor. Both series of tests found performance improvements in the latest-generation devices.
The HP Dragonfly G3 achieved a SYSmark 25 score that was 13.6 percent higher, a CrossMark score that was 21.8 percent higher, and a WebXPRT score that was 11.7 percent higher than the previous-generation HP Dragonfly G2. The HP EliteBook 840 G9 achieved a SYSmark 25 score that was 20.5 percent higher, a CrossMark score that was 17.2 percent higher, and a WebXPRT score that was 25.0 percent higher than the previous-generation HP EliteBook 840 G8.
According to the report on the HP Dragonfly G3, “Users who value performance could benefit from upgrading their devices.” The report on the EliteBook 840 G9 says “upgrading might provide better performance, potentially enabling you to be more productive.”
