Customers Rank Market Research Firms by Satisfaction Scores for 2009

MarketTools, IMS Health, SPSS, and e-Rewards receive highest rankings in their category.

Stamford, CT, February 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In the Fourth Annual Survey of Market Research Professionals, the opinions of more than 600 market research professionals revealed the top market research firms across four categories. In total, nearly 100 market research companies were evaluated by their regular customers with the satisfaction scores used to rank the top firms in 2009.

Among 144 purchasers of full service and syndicated market research, buyers indicated the most important attributes when selecting a supplier include: quality of the underlying data (77%); quality of the insights and recommendations (66%); and cost (59%). Given the growing impact of technology and the Internet upon the market research industry, 360 market research professionals who use online survey software evaluated more than 25 firms. Those with the highest customer satisfaction scores are:

Among a lengthy list of evaluated attributes, those of greatest importance when selecting a provider of online survey software include: advanced survey creation capabilities (i.e., piping, rotation, etc.) (73%); ability to control survey branding (i.e., survey look and feel, etc.) (56%); and quota management (53%).

And nearly completing the circle, professionals working for market research suppliers evaluated firms providing online sample. The top three firms ranked by customer satisfaction are:

Attributes of greatest importance to buyers of online sample include: price (75%); targetability (71%); and the representivity of the delivered audience (69%).
