ONEHOPE Wine Teams up with Fresh & Easy in Support of American Forests

Joint Campaign helps plant 8,540 trees with American Forests

Los Angeles, CA, June 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today, Southern California-based ONEHOPE Wine and Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market are pleased to announce an $8,540 donation to American Forests as a result of their recent campaign that planted one tree for each bottle of wine sold. ONEHOPE sells an exclusive blend of its Sauvignon Blanc at Fresh & Easy stores in Arizona, California and Nevada, to raise the funds. For each bottle purchased, 50 percent of the profits are being donated to American Forests, funding the planting of trees in areas devastated by wildfires. The campaign began on Earth Day and will continue for the rest of the year.

"We are proud to make this donation to American Forests," comments Tom Leahy, President at ONEHOPE Wine. "This is a great start in our first month and we look forward to making a bigger impact on our community as the program grows."

The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc blend, made by ONEHOPE wine-maker, David Elliott and Fresh & Easy’s Master of Wine, Phil Reedman, was developed using sustainable growing practices, and retails for $9.99 per bottle. This wine is available exclusively at Fresh & Easy.

American Forests, whose mission is to grow a healthier world, works to protect, restore and enhance the natural capital of trees and forests. “On behalf of our entire organization, we thank ONEHOPE Wine and Fresh & Easy for this donation,” said American Forests Executive Director, Deborah Gangloff. The organization was founded in 1875, and is a world leader in planting trees for environmental restoration, having planted over 25 million trees internationally as part of their Global ReLeaf program.

ONEHOPE Wine donates 50 percent of its profits to partner charities that support a variety of causes. The original brand was launched in June 2007, and created as a vehicle to raise funds and spread awareness for a variety of causes where the donations are built into the product line.
