TargetX's Student Recruitment Manager (SRM) Selected as Finalist in Salesforce.com's Force.com Forty Competition

Groundbreaking recruitment management tool from college marketing firm TargetX has been selected as one of 40 best new applications built on the Force.com platform.

Bristol, PA, August 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TargetX, the nation's leading provider of student recruiting technology and services, has been selected as a finalist in salesforce.com's Force.com Forty competition for developers of cloud computing applications. The company's Student Recruitment Manager (SRM) application has been named to the Force.com Forty and is one of the top applications selected from a worldwide group of competitors.

The contest was created by salesforce.com to showcase companies from the Force.com partner community and recognize them for their innovation and technical execution. The year-long program culminates in November at Dreamforce '09, salesforce.com's annual user and developer conference. Top honors will be decided via community voting beginning November 2, with results announced later that month at Dreamforce.

TargetX's Student Recruitment Manager is a revolutionary CRM tool that helps colleges manage, integrate and automate the process of student recruitment from the first point of contact through enrollment. Powered by the Force.com enterprise cloud computing platform, the SRM allows for two-way data exchange with student information systems, a critical factor in getting college IT departments to take advantage of the cloud computing model that is changing the way organizations buy, configure and manage their hardware and software applications.

The SRM is built on Force.com, the cloud computing platform from salesforce.com used by nearly 60,000 organizations around the world.

The SRM combines its revolutionary approach to CRM with an easy-to-use online application, a unique campus visit scheduler, and the leading email broadcasting and online chat tools in higher education.

"TargetX's SRM is introducing the advantages of cloud computing to higher education and the student recruitment process," said Mark Trang, director of ISV marketing and programs, salesforce.com. "This application represents exactly the kind of potential impact and technical excellence that we look for in determining the Force.com Forty."

"The potential impact is enormous, given that colleges struggle with expensive enterprise systems that are difficult to use, lack basic reporting, expandability and mobility, and typically take more than a year to implement," said TargetX CEO Brian Wm. Niles. "Making matters worse is the need for admissions offices to deal with multiple vendors and spend an enormous amount of time moving data around -- with limited access to the real-time information they need."

"We are excited by the response of admissions and IT officers to the SRM application, and now we are equally pleased with our selection as a Force.com Forty finalist," Niles added. "We look forward to the voting process by the Force.com community and would welcome the chance to share our application with attendees at Dreamforce."
