StreamSend Introduces “Share with Friends” Feature: Leverages Email Messages Into Social Networks

Sacramento, CA, November 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- StreamSend, a leading email marketing solutions provider, today released its "Share with Friends" feature to help businesses increase the reach of their email campaigns by enabling subscribers to share messages through social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn.

Both email and social networks are growing communication channels for consumers and marketers. According to Nielson Co., email and social network usage have grown 21 percent and 31 percent respectively over the past year; and Marketing Sherpa’s Email Marketing Benchmark Survey found 81 percent of marketers agree that social sharing provides an opportunity to extend their email campaigns into new markets.

With the new “Share with Friends” feature, StreamSend is helping its customers take advantage of converging opportunities in the marketing landscape by incorporating the capability to easily share email messages across many platforms.

“Social media continues to grow as a communication source in consumers’ lives, and we want to help our customers leverage the effectiveness of their communications in this area,” said Dan Forootan, president of StreamSend Email Marketing. “We are happy to now offer our clients the ability to extend their email messages to new audiences.”

Other recent studies, including research by Nielsen and Marketing Sherpa, have shown that email communications rise in tandem with increased use of social media. Email will continue to play an important role in these communications, particularly for businesses looking to maximize their marketing investments and reach.
