Rentable Me: Making Social Marketing Smooth Sailing for Companies
Charlotte, NC, April 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In 2009, Nicki Andrews started a blog, Suddenly Single Journey, and before long her writing ability had drawn the attention of companies and yielded opportunities she had never imagined. After years of building relationships with companies and promoting products, she decided to make her hobby her career, hence the birth of Rentable Me. The decision couldn’t have come at a better time, since she and her fiancé were contemplating a move.

“We’re calling it Plan Sea,” Nicki said. “We’ve always dreamed of blue water. So when he asked me how we were going to afford this dream, it just came to me. We’d buy a boat and I would build an online business doing something I’ve been doing for years. The only difference is that I’m going more public.”

Rentable Me offers social marketing solutions for businesses, one day at a time. Instead of jumping into a contract, companies of all sizes can purchase a day on the calendar and begin interacting with their consumers, building a relationship with their brand. Each day, the company will be promoted through a variety of mediums: Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and YouTube. The company will host a contest on the Rentable Me site that will drive traffic to meet their predetermined needs.

“People love to win things. That’s why the lottery and gambling are so big. And giveaways are very popular,” Nicki explained.

In addition, to meet the needs of larger companies, there are opportunities for monthly and corporate sponsorship. And because she believes in giving back, Nicki offers monthly Rent Free placement for non-profit organizations. Expect to see themed months, such as May is the month of mompreneurs and women owned businesses, while June will see a nod to fathers.

At the same time, Rentable Me will be gaining additional exposure for its clients through the blogs. Nicki has created a second blog, What Dreamers Do, to chronicle their experiences sailing and living a life at sea, promising it won’t be dull.

"How could it be boring when life at sea can be just as challenging as life on land and businesses built on water are no less stable than ones built of brick and mortar?" Nicki asked.
