Sandy, UT, September 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- No-cost clean energy program earns substantial cash rewards for Ypsilanti School District

Dragonfly Solutions announced at the Renewable Energy Markets Conference that Ypsilanti Public Schools has entered into an agreement to create over $6 Million in new revenue and energy savings to aid in reducing district budget deficits.

“We chose Dragonfly because their program allows the district to earn substantial rewards for the energy-efficiency upgrades we have implemented and receive no-cost energy efficiency and monitoring equipment.” said Mr. Dedrick Martin, Ypsilanti Superintendent. Unlike other programs, the District keeps 100% of the energy and maintenance savings generated by the SEED Equipment to aid Ypsilanti’s debt elimination plan.

Dragonfly’s School Energy Efficiency Development (SEED) Program is a sustainable approach to reducing energy costs and creating new revenue by producing Clean Skies Certificates as an immediate incentive for demonstrating fiscal and environmental stewardship. The SEED Program also delivers on-going value by providing the means to fund additional energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

“The leadership shown by Ypsilanti in creating exciting new revenue streams for schools, reducing energy costs, and saving taxpayer’s money serves as a sustainability model for other school districts across the country,” said Jacqueline Zielenski, President and Chief Sustainability Officer for Dragonfly.

Environmental Certificate Exchange and School Energy Partners will process and market Ypsilanti’s Certificates to local and national companies committed to offsetting their energy use, creating jobs, helping the environment, and supporting the educational system.
