Make 2013 the Year Children Stop Dying from Sarcoma Cancer

Lake Forest, CA, December 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sarcoma is a particularly deadly cancer that effects people of all ages but one strain, Rhabdomyosarcoma, mainly targets children under the age of 15. According to statistics from the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, there are approximately 6000 new cases a year and the survival rate is anywhere from below 20% for recurrent or metastatic disease to upwards of 60% for single tumor cases. Unlike other cancers, these statistics have not gotten better over the last several decades.

Jareds Juggernaut to Cure Sarcoma was formed after the founder's son, Jared, died from the disease at the age of 26. He had fought the cancer for almost five years and had three remissions before he succumbed to the disease.

The charity finds new and innovative researchers across the county and around the world who are working on treatments for this terrible disease that show promise and are body sparing as much as possible. This means that they try to use no or a minimum of chemo drugs which kill as many healthy cells as cancer cells.

Two research doctors, who are supported by the charity, are working on treatments that are on the edge of making breakthroughs which may be the answer to solving this disease but funding from drug companies are limited since the number of patients are small compared to other cancers which affect a greater percentage of the population.

Therefore, researchers rely on grass root groups like Jareds Juggernaut Inc.to fund their research.

The charity currently need to raise $50,000 to fund a trial which, if successful, will be adopted by a major drug company.
