To manage the rapid growth in the pharmaceutical compounding and dispensing market, Olympia Pharmacy, a leader in compounding and the premier provider of customized prescriptions, commissioned PBC to design and construct the cleanroom facility. The result is a first-class, state-of-the-art facility with an ISO 7 rated air shower ante-room attached to an ISO 5 rated individual cleanroom for sterile compounding in compliance with United States Pharmacopeia <USP> 797 guidelines.
The external appearance of the new cleanroom is hygienic and modern, making use of architectural extruded aluminum and tempered glass, integrated into the existing layout to minimize the impact on existing structures. Inside, the aseptic cleanroom benefits from advanced facility management and filtration systems capable of continuously monitoring temperature, humidity, room pressures, and particles, as well as other equipment. This enables the latest efficient production methods to be deployed, raising pharmaceutical standards and the capacity to meet growing demands.
PBC's overall scope of services included: design collaboration and detailed design, project management, on-site construction and construction management, fabrication with full integration and coordination.
