Houston, TX, October 15, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Bonterra at Woodforest, Houston's newest 55+ community, has announced the hiring of its lifestyle director.
Amy Vleck, who most recently handled lifestyle director duties at Taylor Morrison's Esplanade property in Florida, will act as social connector for the new community's residents. Bonterra at Woodforest is expected to grand open in 2014.
"We're excited to bring Amy aboard," said Jonathan White, president of Taylor Morrison's Houston division. "She brings a level of enthusiasm and experience to Bonterra that our residents will appreciate."
Vleck, who has spent the better part of the last decade as a lifestyle and activities director, said she's looking forward to connecting with Bonterra's residents and is already beginning to plan how the community will interact with its residents.
"I get a chance to be on site from day one, connecting with our residents and helping them create the type of community that they'll enjoy calling home."
First announced this summer, Taylor Morrison will build its first 55+ community in the Houston area at Woodforest, signaling a new era for the builder and the four-year-old development. The builder disclosed that it will purchase more than 700 homesites from Johnson Development Corp. with sales beginning in 2014.
According to White, Taylor Morrison is committed to creating a 55+ community that will complement the surrounding neighborhood, drawing on what the company sees as a pent-up demand for active-adult lifestyle in the South Montgomery County area.
