Newman Village Steps Back in Time to Ring in Holiday Season with the Third Annual “It’s a Wonderful Life in Newman Village” Event on Dec. 6
Dallas, TX, December 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Step back in time with Newman Village on Dec. 6 as the Frisco community celebrates the holiday season with the festive Third Annual “It’s a Wonderful Life in Newman Village” event, benefiting the Frisco Education Foundation.

Holiday revelers will feel as if they’ve stepped back in time as they stroll through Newman Village’s Central Plaza listening to carolers, sipping cocoa and strapping on ice skates to glide across the ice rink that has been installed for the event.

Presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, the event will see the streets surrounding the plaza teeming with excited boys and girls waiting for horse-drawn carriage rides, choo-choo train rides and more.

And just when it couldn’t get any better, there will be a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, with children clamoring for a photo with the jolly white-bearded man himself.

“It’s an event that allows you to forget our hectic modern day life and step back to a time that was simpler,” said Christen Brown, community relations manager for Newman Village. “For three hours on one magical Friday night, even adults can be children again.”

The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and is centered around the Newman Village Central Plaza, the focal point of the community. Always a popular event, “It’s a Wonderful Life in Newman Village” was named the 2013 Dallas Builder’s Association McSam Award for “Best Event/Promotion.”

Newman Village is located at 4131 Fallbrook Drive in Frisco. Admission is free for adults and $5 in advance online at www.friscoeducationfoundation.org. At the event, adults are still free, the first child is $10 and each additional child is $5 each. Photos with Santa Claus cost $10.

Parking and shuttle services will be available at Griffin Middle School.
