Maurice L. Campbell Recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Publication

Murray, UT, January 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Maurice L. Campbell of Murray, Utah has been included in the Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of sports education.

About Maurice L. Campbell
Mr. Campbell retired after 38 years in the educational sports arena. He was the Athletic Director for the Murray School District in Murray, Utah. He was responsible for scheduling sporting games, home games and eligibility lists of all the athletes. Mr. Campbell was awarded the NFHS Citation, Athletic Director of the Year in 1997 and was inducted into the U.I.A.A.A. Hall of Fame in 2001. He is affiliated with the N.I.A.A.A. and U.I.A.A.A. Prior to entering athletic administration, he coached football, basketball and baseball and was selected Baseball Coach of the Year in 1967, 1968 and 1971. Mr. Campbell was born on August 24, 1936 in California and obtained a M.A. from Brigham Young University in 1960. He was active in providing athletic opportunities to the community and organized numerous camps and clinics. He has hosted basketball camps in conjunction with the National Basketball Association and was the director and host of the Utah Junior Jazz Clinic for six years. Many of the camps helped support the Murray athletic budget. Mr. Campbell was also involved in numerous civic activities, including the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as a Scoutmaster for over 30 years. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing and travel.
