)-- JackedPack, the monthly sports nutrition sample discovery and curation service founded by two former Harvard roommates, Zak Tanjeloff and Alex Lewis, has been acquired by IdeoClick, a prominent eCommerce outfit.
JackedPack (JackedPack.com) is a monthly box of sports nutrition samples curated by top tier fitness experts. Aimed towards the fast growing weightlifting community, each month's pack includes a variety of samples of protein powders, pre-workouts, recovery formulas, amino acids, healthy snacks, and more.
JackedPack will continue under the direction of Ideoclick, the Seattle based eCommerce company which was founded by two former Amazon employees. Ideoclick has plans to improve efficiency and leverage their infrastructure to improve profit as well as the overall service.
"This is an incredible opportunity to marry our expertise with a a market that is exploding," says Justin Leigh, the CEO of Ideoclick. According to the Nutrition Business Journal, sports nutrition is a $4+ billion industry nationwide, and online sales are growing almost 20% year over year.
Founded in 2012, JackedPack has worked with all the top sports nutrition brands including BSN, MusclePharm, Cellucor, and many more. Unlike most subscription box companies, JackedPack has also been available though retail brick and mortar, including nationwide GNC retail stores.
In an email sent to existing subscribers, JackedPack co-founder Alex Lewis wrote:
