New York, NY, March 04, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- 67 Wine announces the first installment of it’s new 67 Wine-Book Club, to be held Friday, March 6th, from 4-7PM at their store.
67 Wine-Book Club is an interactive wine experience that invites customers to read a chosen book and taste wines from the book at an in-store event. The object is to help people learn about wine. 67 Wine is now featuring Barolo and Barbaresco: The King and Queen of Italian Wine by Kerin O'Keefe.
Author Kerin O'Keefe will be present at the tasting on Friday, March 6th (4-7PM) to guide tasters through a selection of Barolos and Barbarescos highlighted in the book, speak of her experiences in the region, and explain what makes Barolo and Barbaresco the King and Queen of Italian wine.
O'Keefe is the Italian Editor for Wine Enthusiast magazine and she has contributed numerous articles to top industry publications including Decanter and The World of Fine Wine.
Barolo and Barbaresco: The King and Queen of Italian Wine, considered “inspiring and essential” by Eric Asimov of the New York Times, illuminates how and why Barolo and Barbaresco have risen to their lauded status in Italian wine. It takes readers through the history of the region, factors that impact the winemaking, various schools of thought in the wine's production, a profile of the wine producers and a vintage guide.
Books, and wines from the book, are available for sale at 67 Wine & Spirits and on 67Wine.com.
67 Wine-Book Club will take place in addition to 67 Wine's daily tasting calendar. All events will be held at 67 Wine & Spirits on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Tastings are from 4-7PM and are free of charge. You must be at least 21 year of age to attend. Visit 67wine.com/Calendar for more details.
