Encouragement for Parents Dealing with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)

You Are Not Alone is a book of hope. It contains a series of scripture-based meditations written especially for parents of children with RAD. Based on her own experiences, the author wrote the book as a way of healing and offering hope to those who find themselves in a uniquely difficult relationship. While intended for that specific audience, the message in You Are Not Alone is also useful for all who find themselves in difficult relationships.

Available September 19, 2017

Adoption and foster care is not easy, especially when your child suffers from Reactive Attachment Disorder or RAD. Parents and primary caregivers of RAD children face rage, rejection and defiance. They feel tired and isolated. They feel alone. No more. You Are Not Alone reminds these parents -- and all of us -- of the Truth. We are not forgotten. We are not forsaken. We are not alone.

This book by former journalist and parent of RAD adoptees, Kate Silvas, pierces the darkness, encouraging every parent and every reader, both with and without RAD.

This book is not a self-help book. It instead points the reader to seeking help from God -- the most reliable healer in the Universe.

"The strong words and imagery will hit home to all those who have opened their doors and hearts to RAD children and found the experience to be like 'chewing broken glass.' This little book is a tool that can lead to the healing you crave in many areas of life even if you have never heard of or experienced RAD. It is real and authentic and I found myself in every page. We all have battles, sometimes of epic proportions. You’re probably in one now and the really, really good news is the means to win yours is closer than you think." -- Danyelle Daniel
