A Woman’s Place is in the...Wood Shop: Anne Briggs Appears on F&W Media's Popular Woodworking June Cover – the First Woman in Nearly a Decade

F&W Media's Popular Woodworking Magazine's June cover features a woman maker - the first in nearly a decade.

New York, NY, March 04, 2019 --( Popular Woodworking, the nation’s leading resource for woodworkers, isn’t afraid to take a band saw to stereotypes. The June cover features Anne Briggs, a brilliant woodworker who, as Anne of All Trades, is also an entrepreneur with a large and active social media following. The cover story in the June issue (on sale April 23) is a showcase for the burgeoning “maker movement” which emphasizes learning by doing in a social environment – values Anne and Popular Woodworking share in common.

Popular Woodworking’s editor in chief, Andrew Zoellner said, “Our mission is to inspire people to make beautiful things, and Anne's life and work embodies that spirit, from her skillful use of hand tools to running her own hobby farm business.”
