Susan Margaret Thomas Recognized as a Professional of the Year for 2020 by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Publication

Binghamton, NY, April 30, 2020 --(PR.com)-- Susan Margaret Thomas of Binghamton, New York has been recognized as a Professional of the Year for 2020 by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of education.

About Susan Margaret Thomas
Susan Margaret Thomas is a secondary special education and secondary social studies teacher for the Charlotte Valley School District in Davenport, New York. Ms. Thomas teaches English, Secondary Social Studies, Biology, nursing and special education. She co-teaches regional Social Studies and has served on education committees. She is qualified in English and Biology. Ms. Thomas works with students with mental illness as an RN and special education teacher.

Ms. Thomas' 7th and 8th grade students were entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for writing the most letters to veterans in one month. She received the Ethyl W. Mapes Award for the Art of Nursing. She was awarded the Oswego County Medical Scholarship, A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital Scholarship, the I.H.M. Endowed/Graduate Scholarship and the United Commercial Travelers of America Scholarship. Ms. Thomas was nominated for Who's Who for Teachers by students and received commendations by the Pleasant Valley School District.

Born June 28, 1967 in Oswego, New York, Susan Margaret obtained an A.A.S. in Nursing from Cayuga Community College in 1985, and a B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies from SUNY Oswego in 1989. She later obtained a M.S. in Special Education from Marywood University in Pennsylvania in 2004 and is a Candidate for a Post Masters Certificate of Advanced Study from SUNY Binghamton.

Ms. Thomas is affiliated with Kappa Delta Pi, Daughters of the British Empire and the D.A.R. In her spare time she enjoys fencing, figure skating, roller skating, movies, nature walks and biking.
