School Emergency Kits Available. Just in Time for 2008 School Year.

50 million students are heading back to 99,000 schools for the 2008 fall term. All schools public and private should have emergency kits for students and staff.

Germantown, MD, July 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Nearly 50 million students are heading back to approximately 99,000 schools for the fall term, and before the next school year is completed, an estimated $489 billion will be spent on their education, but notably, there are no statistics currently available on what schools are spending for Emergency Preparedness or Shelter in Place supplies to prepare and protect students or staff.

American Preparedness announces the availability of Shelter in Place Kits, Large 1,000 person Container Kits for schools of all sizes and budgets, as well as individual emergency kits for students. For parent and smaller volume school requirements, orders can be bought directly on-line at http://coldfiresales.itcstore.com/Store/catalog.aspx?catId=132972.

This is predicted to be the worst year in a decade for emergencies such as the hurricanes forecast; massive flooding; and tornados. While public and private schools may not be thinking about it, hurricane season officially started the first day of June and ends November 30. And, preparation for schools takes some extra care and planning, which are key elements in protecting students and keeping them safe.

Every year fires, tornadoes, flooding, hurricanes and other emergencies threaten those who maybe attending or working at a school or university. In the event that students and staff are required to remain on school grounds for an extended period of time during an emergency, they will need a Shelter in Place Plan, and adequate Shelter in Place supplies or Individual Emergency Preparedness Kits. The key to student and staff survival during an emergency is to be as prepared as possible before an emergency strikes.

Schools or individuals which enter the following code into the E-coupon box when placing an online order (UPR_Schools2008) will qualify for a free drawing to win a Family Emergency Preparedness Kit.
