Pune, India, August 11, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Auto Steel & Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd. has been a pioneer in the supply of Silicone hoses. In fact, they were the first company in India to export Silicone hoses in different colors with a smooth and shiny finish on the outer surface.
Now, their sister concern, “Shore Auto Rubber Exports Pvt. Ltd.” is the first Indian company to export “FKM” lined Silicone hoses to overseas OEM customers.
Silicone hoses are used as heater, coolant, or turbocharger hoses in automobiles, where the working temperatures exceed 150 degrees centigrade. They usually have 3 or 4 layers of Polyester fabric inlay. These hoses have a working temperature of 180 degrees centigrade, with peaks of 200 degrees centigrade. For high temperatures, hoses with an inlay of aramid fabrics such as Nomex ® or Konex ® are used, which can be used up to peak temperatures of 220 degrees centigrade.
Shore Auto Rubber Exports Pvt. Ltd. commenced production in November 2006 and it took over the production of the full range of Silicone hoses from its parent company – Auto Steel & Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd.
In a short span of 12 months, Shore Auto increased its client base from 6 to 33 customers, all, overseas. Shore Auto has exclusive distributors all over the world, who maintain their stock, and in turn, supply the parts to the local OEMs and Aftermarket.
A few weeks back, Shore Auto exported Silicone hoses with “FKM” or “Viton ®” lining for the first time to an overseas OEM customer. A think liner of FKM is needed on the hose, if the hose is transmitting some organic coolants, or oil, at high temperatures.
Shore Auto Rubber Exports Pvt. Ltd. is also poised to get ISO/TS16949:2002 certification in the next quarter of this year.
