Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) now does Fracture Toughness Testing to measure conditions under which existing cracks in material will lengthen when subjected to prescribed loading conditions. LTI performs the test to ASTM standards E399 and E1820, and has fixturing to test specimens including SE(B) (single edge bend) and C(T) (compact tension).
