Senator Mike Fasano Visits Central Florida Institute in Palm Harbor
Tampa, FL, August 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Senator Fasano spoke to the over 400 current CFI students giving them encouragement and words of wisdom as well taking part in a tour given by the CFI Palm Harbor School Director, Ms. Olivia T. Fields.

Senator Fasano had the opportunity to visit each career program offered at CFI, in addition to observing presentations given by current CFI students & faculty. CFI utilizes medical and dental equipment that one would actually use when working at most cardiac imaging & ultrasound centers, chiropractic, podiatry, orthopedic, dental offices and general medicine practices and offices in the Tampa Bay area. Such an important piece to hands-on, real-world training that is provided by a school such as CFI.

CFI is a member of Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools & Colleges (FAPSC) representing the interests of over 300 degree granting and 500 non-degree granting career schools and colleges that prepare over 265,000 students each year for employment in more than 200 occupational fields. Senator Fasano’s choice to visit CFI, a fully-participating FAPSC School, shows his firm hands-on support for Florida education and post-graduate student achievement.

Mr. William Polmear, President of FAPSC and Ms. Sandy Mortham, Consultant for FAPSC were among those present, as well as, Mr. John Kearney Sr., President & CEO of Career Path Training, parent company of CFI. Mr. Alfred McCloy, serves as Co-Chairman, Government & Association Relations of Career Path Training as well as former FAPSC president and current FAPSC board member. When asked what the August visit from Senator Fasano meant to CFI, Mr. McCloy responded, “This was a very important visit for the tax paying schools of Florida. Much was done to make a very important senator aware of the outstanding work these schools do to help Florida citizens.”

CFI of Palm Harbor looks forward to Senator Fasano speaking at their graduation ceremony on September 5, 2008.
