)-- Emtec names new executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Chris Mack joins Dexxon’s Emtec Division, the top brand in Europe for USB flash memory, Gdium netbook and related CE product, he’s responsible for Emtec's entry into the North American Retail Channel.
Emtec, the inventor of the first magnetic tape for audio recording and boasting more than seventy years of experience, Emtec is a widely recognized brand today in Europe. Its products include USB flash drives, SD cards, and soon Gdium, an ultra portable - affordable notebook computer with innovative architecture entrenched in the open-source world.
Mr. Mack has been hired by Emtec and Dexxon, a private firm based in Paris, to establish Emtec as a major consumer product vendor within leading retailers in North America. Mr. Mack brings over 20 years of Professional Management Experience, Direct Response Marketing, Performance Improvement and Retail Client Relationship Management, he joins Emtec as their Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Prior to joining Emtec, Mr. Mack held senior management positions for large organizations in the consumer goods, consumer electronics, telecom, technology and energy industries with leading firms such as Micron. He served as a guest speaker on several occasions at Gartner technology events, CRN symposiums, and appeared numerous times as a live “on-air” guest for QVC’s technology showcase events.
