Special Olympics Invites Supporters to 8th Annual Gala and Live Auction
San Francisco, CA, November 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Special Olympics Northern California will hold its 8th annual fundraising gala on Nov.13, 2009 at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco. Presented by Chevron Corp., the Spirit of the Season gala will help raise money for sports equipment, training and competition in 2010. More than 13,000 developmentally disabled children and adults in Northern California rely on gifts and donations to participate in Olympic-style sports throughout the year.

This year’s theme is "Reach for the Gold" and will include opportunities for guests to play virtual sports games with Special Olympics athletes. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, offering guests spirits of the season and holiday shopping gifts including travel, spa and sports packages. Guests will then be ushered into a glorious ballroom where they will be treated to a four-course meal, live auction and entertainment, all hosted by veteran sportscaster Rick Quan.
