Irvine, CA, November 21, 2009 --(PR.com
)-- MINI is proud to introduce its new mascot, MINIWeen, created by artist Mark Paul Deren, better known as Madsteez.
Known for his colorful, graffiti-style art and animal hybrids called Ween!mals, Madsteez not only created MINIWeen, he will also be painting a MINI Cooper with his distinctive art. The MINIWeen Cooper will be traveling around Orange County in 2010 to charitable events sponsored by Irvine MINI. The work-of-art-on-wheels will be auctioned off at the end of the year with proceeds going to charities supported by Irvine MINI. Follow Madsteez’s progress on the MINIWeen Cooper on irvinemini.com
“We are very excited about our collaboration with Madsteez,” said Irvine MINI General Sales Manager Steve Rudkin. “We think his cutting-edge visual style will appeal to our trend-setting clients.”
Born blind in one eye, Madsteez is 29 and loves to play dress up in his Weenosaurus costume. A ferocious kite-walking, Nerd Rope-eating, Dolorean-loving, zebra pin stripe fluorescent navy blue-wearing self-proclaimed Weenbear, Madsteez’s effusive style has attracted an extensive client/collaboration list including projects with Nike, Honda, MCA Records, Redbull, Stussy and many more.
