)-- III Forks Jacksonville, one of the nation’s prime steakhouses, with only six other locations around the country, is getting into the “swing” of things as they welcome some of the world’s top golfers to the First Coast.
With the eyes of the golf world focused on The Players at Sawgrass this week, III Forks is teaming up with award-winning Edwin Watts Golf to give restaurant patrons a chance play to golf at highly regarded Palencia.
Servers and bartenders in the spacious and beautiful lounge at III Forks are wearing the latest lines in golf apparel, compliments of Edwin Watts Golf.
While enjoying the great happy hour and drink specials customers can register to win a round of golf for four at Palencia Golf Club. Those dining in Jacksonville’s premier steakhouse can also register, just by asking their server.
“The interest level in golf always peaks at this time of the year whether you are a casual observer or hard core duffer,” said Curtis Osmond, general manager and proprietor at III Forks. “The area is rich in golf history with some fantastic courses. This is our fun way of observing Jacksonville’s golf heritage.”
In addition to having their great selection of golf apparel showcased at III Forks, Edwin Watts Golf will also have a display set up at III Forks throughout the week. Since 1968, Edwin Watts Golf has built a nationally ranked retail organization on a passion and love of golf.
This foundation helps Edwin Watts Golf deliver on its promise to be America’s Golf Club, where loving the game is the only membership fee.
Consistently ranked in the Top-50 in sales nationally among all sporting goods retailers (#41 in Sporting Goods Business ‘Retail Top 100,’ June 2003), the company has been named SGB’s “Trendsetter of the Year” twice in the past five years in the specialty retail category.
“It’s an opportunity for us to show the latest in equipment and apparel during this special event. We take great pride in the products and services we offer in our stores,” said Tom Ashton, general manager and golf professional at the Edwin Watts Golf at 7111 Bonneval Road, just off J. Turner Butler Boulevard.
Another store is located at 4082 South 3rd Street in Jacksonville Beach and also at 1540 Wells Road in Orange Park.
III Forks brings a whole new level of fine dining in North Florida, from spectacular interiors with fire-infused walls, to an outdoor patio area with sparkling fountains, plasma TVs, and huge concrete fire table, to the glass enclosed wine room housing hundreds of hand-picked wines.
The lush décor of III Forks is complemented by impeccable service and a menu, which features only USDA Prime Grade Beef, a distinction held by only a handful of steakhouses in the nation.
III Forks is slated to open additional properties including one planned for Chicago and 18 locations in 10 countries internationally.
