TransGuardian Averts $23,000 Transit Loss for Prominent Los Angeles Diamond Dealer

TransGuardian Averts $23,000 Transit Loss for Prominent Los Angeles Diamond Dealer
Los Angeles, CA, August 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On August 4, 2010, a $23,000 return parcel sent to Gerson & Horowitz (http://www.gersonandhorowitz.com/), a prominent Los Angeles Diamond Dealer since 1955, was mistakenly delivered to another jeweler’s address. The other jeweler didn’t say a word.

TransGuardian’s Maria Rolon identified the problem through TransGuardian’s pro-active tracking program and subsequent contact with Larry Horowitz.

TransGuardian’s team called the wrong recipient and made an immediate appointment to retrieve the package. TransGuardian personnel recovered the sealed parcel, gave a possession receipt for it, delivered it to its rightful recipient, and verified the parcel inventory. The recovery was successful.

TransGuardian’s Jim Moseley said:

“It would have been a covered loss under our transit insurance policy, but averting losses is what allows us to maintain – and guarantee – the lowest prices available anywhere in the gem and jewelry industry.”

Larry Horowitz said:

“TransGuardian’s service has been outstanding, all along the line. They are always available right when I need them.

“When other companies can’t solve my problems, like getting high value parcels delivered to PO Boxes or finding OnTrac (https://www.ontrac.com/) a less expensive carrier than FedEx or UPS to ship to the GIA (http://www.gia.edu/), TransGuardian has always come through.

“Also, I’m not a computer guy, and TransGuardian’s online software is the easiest and most powerful around. I used to ship with their two biggest competitors, but TransGuardian out-performs them in every way.

“And, look, I’m a business man. I like TransGuardian, but not as much as I like my bottom line. The company that can provide the best service for the best price gets my business; it’s just that TransGuardian’s consistently led the pack.”

TransGuardian offers coverage up to $150,000 for small parcel shipments arranged though its proprietary online, best-way shipping wizard. Available carriers are FedEx, OnTrac, UPS, USPS, and coverage is also available for shipments by air freight, truck (LTL and FTL), ocean freight, and rail. TransGuardian’s transit insurance policy is arranged through Wells Fargo Insurance Services (https://wfis.wellsfargo.com/).
