Godbee, Jr. of the Detroit Police Department will be the keynote speaker at the "Staying Safe" 1st Annual Out of School Summer Jam, held at Genesis New Beginnings, located at 21500 Schoolcraft Rd., Detroit, MI 48223. This event will be hosted by Soaring Eagles Alternative, Founder/President Angelica M. Robinson.

Getting summer safety tips from the Chief of Police will allow the Brightmoor Community and Businesses know that we care and that non-profits are in the community to help, uplift, redirect, and advanced the lives of individuals in need, as well as set the pace for the entire summer. This family oriented, high energy, fun and educational outdoor festival will present; live performances from participating Brightmoor School students, games, motivational speakers. There will be a special tribute performance by Cass Technical High School Marching Band to the Chief of Police for 25 years of Dedicated Services and a tribute to Cass Technical High School Football Team for winning the 2011 State Football Title and making history. This Event Is Open To The Public At No Cost........so come out and enjoy a Safe Day of fun, food and entertainment.
