Cashiers/Sapphire Fusion Yoga and Fitness Coach Raises Funds and Awareness for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease Research
Sapphire, NC, July 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Tamera Nielsen, Fusion Yoga and Fitness Coach at Feel Well Yoga, is facilitating a one-month fund raiser for The Michael J. Fox Foundation, whose single, urgent goal is to eliminate Parkinson's disease. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. Nielsen, who specializes in helping individuals feel well and live well despite challenges and chronic disease, such as Parkinson’s Disease is raising awareness for and donating to MJFF all profits for each first-time private session client and gift certificate purchased during the month of August. Feel Well Yoga also is accepting and donating all additional contributions collected during the month.

Nielsen who lives with an incurable disease, is also an author of books on encouragement geared towards individuals living with illness, a Wellness Workshop Leader, and actively coaches an individual stricken with Parkinson’s Disease who has experienced notable results as is evidenced by the words of her client.

“From the first moment I met Tamera, her infectious smile and undeniable spirit put me at ease. I was a reluctant client who has always viewed exercise as something to be avoided at all costs. But due to a Parkinson’s diagnosis, exercise became a necessary evil. In a short time, Tamera has changed my point of view completely. Her sessions are extremely professional and productive and always fun. Tamera works diligently to personalize the routines based on my strength and weaknesses. She has gone above and beyond to address my symptoms and I began seeing marked improvements in my balance and flexibility almost immediately. I highly recommend Tamera. You won’t be disappointed,” says Molly Hubbard, client of Tamera Nielsen at Feel Well Yoga.

Nielsen who also conducts fusion yoga classes, largely works privately with individuals across all fitness levels and specializes in helping individuals with challenges feel well, despite any challenge. A year round resident of Western North Carolina for the past three years, Nielsen recently settled in Sapphire, and works at her clients’ homes, as well as various locations in the Cashiers and Sapphire area, including Burlingame Country Club, Trillium Links and Lake Club, and Lonesome Valley. For the entire month of August, all profits from each first-time private session, including gift certificates will be donated to MJFF. Additional donations for Feel Well Yoga’s MJFF August fund raiser are greatly appreciated, and each donor will receive a tax deductible receipt for private sessions, gift certificates, and additional donations.

“It is through perseverance and persistence that we experience breakthroughs. MJFF’s goal of aggressively-funded research to put an end to PD will surely be achieved, and it is my privilege to do a small part to help in their mission,” says Nielsen.

Nielsen first began helping individuals navigating physical challenges years ago, then later honed her skills by finding her way through the debilitating stages of systemic lupus, uncontrollable seizures, and numerous reparative surgeries.

“I understand the horror of feeling trapped by your own body, as well as the confines of wheelchairs and more. It is my life’s mission to help empower individuals to feel well and improve the quality of their life through empathetic exercise and education specifically suited for their body, beliefs, and lifestyle,” says Nielsen.
