)-- In response to public demand and in the interest of promoting firearm safety, In-Gauge of Polk County is offering to the public, two of the National Rifle Association’s advanced level handgun training courses, Defensive Pistol and Personal Protection Outside The Home. Both courses are true concealed carry weapons training courses.
The courses can be taken independently, but both have prerequisite basic handgun training requirements.
The Defensive Pistol course is a minimum of 8 hours in duration and the Personal Protection Outside The Home is 21–24 hours. Both courses consist of classroom and live-fire range training.

Both courses are nationally recognized and fulfill the State of Florida’s concealed carry weapons application training requirement. Official National Rifle Association certificates of training are issued upon successful completion.
