Santa Clara, CA, September 27, 2017 --(PR.com
)-- Professor Steve Mann, widely regarded as the Father of Wearable Computing, and Chris Aimonie, cofounders of InteraXon, (www.interaxon.com) will unveil the world's first ordinary-looking prescription smartglasses live on-stage at this year’s Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum Conference (www.svief.org).
The smartglasses are the result of a collaboration between Safilo, a multinational integrated Italian eyewear producer and Interaxon, the world leader in consumer brain-sensing technology, a company that Mann founded out of his home in Toronto 2012.
Steve Mann invented wearable computing during his childhood in the 1960s and 70s and has continued to lead this multi-billion industry as a founder or co-founder of a number of successful wearable computing companies including InteraXon, Meta and VisionerTech.
