Smartglasses Powered by Neuroscience to be Unveiled by InteraXon Founders at 2017 SVIEF Conference
Santa Clara, CA, September 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Professor Steve Mann, widely regarded as the Father of Wearable Computing, and Chris Aimonie, cofounders of InteraXon, (www.interaxon.com) will unveil the world's first ordinary-looking prescription smartglasses live on-stage at this year’s Silicon Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum Conference (www.svief.org).

The smartglasses are the result of a collaboration between Safilo, a multinational integrated Italian eyewear producer and Interaxon, the world leader in consumer brain-sensing technology, a company that Mann founded out of his home in Toronto 2012.

Steve Mann invented wearable computing during his childhood in the 1960s and 70s and has continued to lead this multi-billion industry as a founder or co-founder of a number of successful wearable computing companies including InteraXon, Meta and VisionerTech.

SVIEF is the largest conference in the world that fosters innovation and business partnership between China and the U.S. SVIEF 2016 attracted close to 10,000 attendees and featured over 150 exhibitors from both countries. Past SVIEF speakers include Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, former president Bill Clinton, and Baidu President Yakin Zhang.
