Indianapolis, IN, November 09, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Training for a race event is better with a group! Join NIFS Mini Marathon & 5K Training Program and cross the finish line this spring!

Now in it’s 28th year, the NIFS Mini Marathon & 5K Training Program prepares participants for both the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2018 the Geist Half Marathon on Saturday, May 19, 2018 and the Carmel Marathon on Saturday, March 31, 2018. These races also have 5K courses for those wanting to compete at a shorter distance.

Training is at NIFS convenient downtown location Wednesday nights, January 24-May 9, 2018, at 6 pm. Online registration for Mini Marathon & 5K Training Program is now open.

Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced level runner or walker, the NIFS Mini Marathon & 5K Training Program offers a safe and fun way to prepare your body for any race event. Our interactive training program was developed by exercise physiologists, fitness specialists, registered dietitians and accomplished athletes.

Past participant Denise says this about the program ”I look forward to participating every year. The training program is even more fun than the actual race!”

The 14-week program includes an educational training clinic on January 24, weekly group walks/runs with pace groups available from 7:30-16-minute mile, program shirt, weekly Wednesday access to NIFS for cross training, snacks and refreshments and a celebration dinner. 1st year rookies who are non-members receive a 30-day membership to NIFS.

Individual early bird discount rate runs from October 30-November 30, 2017. Receive 50% off one regular registration fee when another immediate household family member registers.
