MOEV Inc. Brings Smart EV Charging to LA Cleantech Incubator

Smart EV charging company MOEV (pronounced “move”) Inc. is a start-up "portfolio company" rooted in the fertile entrepreneurial soil at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) in the city’s Arts District, where MOEV's smart EV charging solution for workplaces and fleets has been installed in the parking lot.

Los Angeles, CA, November 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- In the solar-panel-shaded parking lot of the LA Cleantech Incubator (LACI), MOEV's smart EV charging solution for workplaces and fleets is now operational. There, MOEV Inc. has installed its 2.4 TM quad EV charger, which takes one electrical circuit (operating on a 40 Amp breaker) and divides it among four EVs or PHEVs at a rate appropriate for their states-of-charge and amount of time a driver will be at the workplace.

Because each MOEV charger handles four EVs on just one circuit, installation costs are dramatically reduced.

Additionally, MOEV provides LACI and LADWP electric vehicle drivers with the company’s MOEV Driver TM app. The app offers charging session status, kilowatt hours used, charging cost, energy price info, and also CO2 reduction data.

Importantly, the MOEV Cloud TM product, offers an ever-growing repository of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms that continually monitor EV charging and improve its efficiency.

Also, MOEV has provided LACI with site host monitoring and control of EV chargers in their parking lot, including of third-party chargers, through the robust MOEV Dash TM, a dashboard system.

The innovative start-up offers electric vehicle charging technology benefits to EV drivers, and also to site host managers who offer EV charging.

Benefits of MOEV's charging system include reduced electricity bills for customers due to attention to time-of-use charges from local utilities, and reduction of demand charges. MOEV's EV charging system can also be set to participate in a utility's demand response program.

Quietly providing electrons to EV batteries under the solar panel array at LACI today, MOEV shows that its ready to install site-host-friendly EV charging solutions in workplaces and fleet parking lots, or in multi-unit-dwellings such as condos and apartments.

About MOEV Inc.
MOEV Inc. provides an integrated hardware and software solution for smart EV charging integrating solar and EV charging in smart grids. The company is a technology startup based in Los Angeles, California that is developing smart solutions for managing electric vehicle energy usage within longer dwell time site hosts such as work place, fleets and MUDs. The MOEV strategy is to integrate its cloud-hosted platform, distributed algorithmic and artificial intelligence based smart charging, power control and management architecture and market-specific mobile apps, to provide a comprehensive solution. Real-time information from the electric utility grid operator or from distributed energy resources such as solar photovoltaics or battery energy storage can be incorporated into MOEV's technology platform to optimize power flows into aggregated electric vehicle loads.
