MyMy Music Partners with Atlanta-based DJ Sense as Talent Scout for Growing Artist Pool
Atlanta, GA, April 29, 2019 --(PR.com)-- MyMy Music, the first ever fan-curated music streaming platform, has partnered with DJ Sense, a.k.a. Trendsetter Sense, to promote a selection of MyMy Hip Hop artists through Sense’s radio shows and to curate featured playlists on the MyMy app that profile his favorite tracks.

A Philadelphia native and Atlanta transplant, Sense first came on the scene when he created The Aphiliates, a DJ trio, in 2003. He currently produces his own show on Eminem’s Shade 45 Sirius XM channel and has another show on Hot 107.9 in Atlanta, where his discography aligns with hip-hop’s top performers, including Migos, T-Pain, Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Monica, Akon, Trey Songz and Chris Brown.

“DJ Sense’s influence here in Atlanta is an asset for MyMy artists,” said MyMy A&R representative JoJo Brim. “To be respected as a contender in hip-hop, you have to earn credibility in the ATL. This new radio exposure provides an awareness boost for independent artists that are showcased on our app, and aligning with DJ Sense further enhances our street cred amongst the players.”

“I’ve been so fortunate to work with some of the best talent in hip-hop,” said DJ Sense. “Through many collaborations with chart-topping artists, I’ve learned a lot, and now believe that my music insight and connections can help these independent artists on MyMy’s platform significantly as I take on an influencer role for the company.”

In 2017, MyMy Music launched its first genre-specific product, MyMy Hip Hop, created to make music discovery more focused and entertaining. The app uses a proprietary process called “blind judging” as part of the streaming process. An industry first, blind judging randomly cues tracks for listeners without providing any information about the artist, including name, hometown, appearance, cover art, or other affiliations. Tracks are judged solely on merit of the music.

Individual artist promotion is based on crowd-sourced judging where favorably-rated songs are playlisted, instantly building credibility for the artist from MyMy’s fast-growing listener pool of registered users. In addition to the listener-prompted trending playlist, MyMy Hip Hop uses partnerships with various influencers and artists, which promote their favorite indie artists through branded playlists on the site’s homepage, as a way to maximize artist exposure.

About MyMy Music
MyMy Music is a streaming music app founded with the goal of helping emerging artists gain exposure. The application is focused on music discovery by allowing any independent artist to easily share their music and be judged by their peers. The company embraces crowd opinion as part of the listening process. The patent-pending algorithm uses a random blind-judging process that ensures there is no bias on artist demographics or affiliations and the outcome of judging can’t be gamed. Listeners voted based on emotion rather than association. After sufficient judging of a track, it is scored and either promoted or failed based on the crowd opinion. MyMy Music will be deploying its blind-judging algorithm to other music genres in the upcoming months. Music connects people. MyMy introduces the connection between artist and fan from the beginning.
