Principled Technologies Releases Study Comparing the Wide & Deep Performance of AWS M6i Instances vs. M5n and M6a Instances

Durham, NC, February 14, 2022 --(PR.com)-- When organizations run deep learning workloads in the cloud, maximizing the operations per second the instance can handle could speed recommendations. Principled Technologies (PT) tested the Wide & Deep recommender performance of three AWS instance types: M6i instances with 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, M5n instances with 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, and M6a instances with 3rd Gen AMD EPYC processors.

According to the report, “[…] small-, medium-, and large-sized M6i instances with 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors outperformed both their M5n and M6a counterparts, indicating that organizations looking to speed recommendations using Wide & Deep inference workloads could gain insights sooner by selecting M6i instances.”
