Samurai Karate Studio participated in the International Climate Day of Action, sponsored by 350.org, by participating in a clean up project in and around it's dojo. 10 bags of trash were collected, along with old tires and plastic and glass bottles. - October 27, 2009

Samurai Karate Studio is pleased to announce their participation in a new martial art's program, called MADDCAP, or Martial Arts Defeat Diabetes Community Action Project. Samurai Karate Studio is going to participate in a nationwide shoeless walk-a-thon on Sunday, June 7th at 10:00am. The one mile walk will start and end at Samurai Karate Studio located in the Magnolia Point Shopping Center in Northeast Columbia. The walk-a-thon will benefit an organization called Think Kindness, which has collected over 7,000 pairs of shoes and will be delivering them to poor children in Africa. - May 31, 2009

More than 100 martial arts teachers and students from across the North American continent, between March 25th and the 29th, converged upon the small southern town of Greensboro, Alabama to build a home, restore a historic schoolhouse, refurbish a thrift store, and help out with the local animal shelter.
