David Gauld Architect Wins 2009 A.R.E. Store Fixture Award
New York, NY, February 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- David Gauld Architect's design for the Lion Brand Yarn Studio in New York City has won a 2009 Store Fixture Award from the Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.). According to the A.R.E., "this recognition is only awarded for designs that exceed current standards of creativity and innovation."

David Gauld designed the flagship store for Lion Brand Yarn, the first retail outlet for this 130-year-old yarn company. The award is for a fixture Gauld designed to allow customers to take yarn samples from cones that spin on "tree branches" primarily made from stock steel threaded pipes and fittings. The award will be presented to Gauld at the A.R.E. Design Awards reception and presentation at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday, March 23, during the tradeshow GlobalShop 2009.

David Gauld Architect's other specialty retail design projects include a boutique for menswear designer John Bartlett and the Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier, both in New York City.
