Mexican Artist Luis Iga to Exhibit Latest Photography and Launch Online Store
Miami, FL, April 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Artist and Creative Director Luis Iga will be hosting a one day only private event in which he will exhibit his latest work, "Him | Her," and launch an online fine art portfolio and store. The event will take place at Demet Koc Studio Gallery in the Wynwood Art District on Thursday, May 7 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. The artist will be present to discuss his work.

The exhibit includes 10 of 20 pieces from his latest series, "Him | Her." The series showcases Iga's eye for colorful photography with intense contrast and minimalist undertones. He is excited to unveil his work in the city he loves. "It's truly an honor to exhibit my fine art photography in the vibrant city of Miami, which is so full of color and life. This City has been such an inspiration to me that it was an obvious location to celebrate my latest vision," said the artist.

Ten percent of all sales at the exhibit and online will be donated to "SoBe Institute of the Arts / SoBe Music Institute," a Miami foundation dedicated to developing a world-class arts education and performance institute in the community.

"I know these are difficult times, especially for those organizations that have made community service their mission. So, I’m helping out in every way that I can," says Iga. "One of my concerns is education. Coming from Mexico, I understand how a lack of quality, affordable education stifles potential. That's why I really identify with what SoBe Arts is trying to accomplish here." Iga previously used his art to raise money for HIV/AIDS research, as he teamed with "Amazing Race" celebrity Chip Arndt to create a viral video supporting Arndt’s goal of raising $100,000 for HIV/AIDS Research. Mr. Arndt will be also present at the event.
