)-- George Young comes to OJC as VP, Business Development with a wealth of media expertise and career experience spanning more than 15 years in TV ad placement, business development, entertainment and Internet technology. In George’s most recent position as Senior Media Buyer with Euro RSCG, he managed an average weekly spend of $500,000 to $700,000 across a broad range of clients such as Citibank, Select Comfort, Citrix Systems and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Through the years, George has developed strong interpersonal relationships with Account Executives, Sales Managers, and Directors of national satellite systems, cable networks, and affiliated web partners such as Microsoft, DISH Networks, Viacom, Turner, and Discovery. In his new role of VP, George will be intertwined into all aspects of OJC’s functions from client services to new client acquisition, media buying and planning and ongoing client relationship building. His responsibilities will be diverse with attention to detail and improving efficiency, all in an aggressive move to upgrade the client and publisher experience with OJC. Additionally, George will become part of the information pipeline and relationship focus that exists between OJC and their highly coveted strategic partners with an eye on mutual scalability over the long term. Interesting factoids, Mr. Young’s early fascination with television and media was first fueled in his work as a Television Weathercaster and News Reporter in such markets as New York City, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Bakersfield, California. Through his early role as a "Rainmaker," George experienced the power of television first hand, communicating important information to millions. George's reporting lead to new legislation to protect California recreational water users, and raised awareness to important safety issues related to the state's water supplies.
