7th Annual “A Toast to Precious Souls” on January 26 to Benefit Saddleback Memorial Medical Center’s Tiniest Patients

Parents, Nurses to be Honored for Their Contributions

Laguna Hills, CA, January 08, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Saddleback Memorial Foundation and Saddleback Memorial’s Baby Alumni Club (BAC) will host the 7th annual “A Toast to Precious Souls” wine tasting event and auction, on Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraising event will benefit women and children’s services provided through The Women’s Hospital at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the tiniest patients born at the hospital.

Two NICU alumni families will be recognized for their efforts in organizing a successful golf fundraising event. Michael Douglas, whose quadruplets were born in the NICU a little over a year ago, commented, “We were so grateful for the sincere, genuinely caring nature of everyone during our experience that we wanted to do something that would benefit the families in the future who would need these services.” David Bravo, father of quintuplets who were also born late in 2011, said, “I can’t say enough about the doctors and nurses in the NICU, and the care they provide to families each and every day. We wanted to help the other families who go through this very intense experience.”

Another highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the “Nurse-of-the-Year” award to two Saddleback Memorial Medical Center registered nurses: one representing the NICU and the other from Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Post-Partum (LDRP), who have demonstrated their service and commitment to the hospital and their patients.

The wine tasting event will feature exquisite wines representing major grape varietals and wine-producing regions from around the world. Guests will savor the aromas and flavors of a variety of wines accompanied by scrumptious hors d’oeuvres. An opportunity drawing and silent auction will be held throughout the evening.

The event will be held at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center:
Conference Room 1
24451 Health Center Drive
